Sales Associate

Position Overview

The Sales Associate plays a key role in representing the brand by driving sales and ensuring outstanding customer service. The position involves upholding store standards, supporting merchandising activities, and facilitating an excellent retail experience, operating under the direction of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.

Core Duties

• Warmly welcome customers and assist them in selecting products tailored to their requirements.
• Engage proactively to convert casual browsers into purchasers.
• Promote the company’s loyalty scheme for repeat customers.
• Deliver exemplary customer service based on the company's GUEST model: Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank.
• Maintain awareness of all group brands to suggest options and facilitate cross-selling.
• Inform customers about product details, benefits, and maintenance guidelines.

Appearance and Attitude

• Maintain a professional and neat appearance at all times.
• Offer flexibility to work extended hours during peak sales seasons.
• Keep updated on product knowledge to prevent stock losses and improve recommendations.

Merchandising Responsibilities

• Display merchandise attractively following store layout and visual merchandising policies.
• Comply with visual merchandising and inventory protocols, with emphasis on clearance items.
• Keep accurate records of stock movement for incoming and outgoing goods.
• Implement upselling and cross-selling techniques to boost sales.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of inventory and promotions to better assist customers.

Operational Tasks

• Use the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for all transactions.
• Manage cash till balancing at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Process payments accurately through cash, cards, vouchers, and automated deductions.
• Provide correct receipts, refunds, and change to customers.
• Maintain vigilance to ensure store security and adherence to loss prevention policies.
• Restock and merchandise the sales floor to guarantee product availability.

Desired Qualifications

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to enhance the customer experience. Previous sales experience is preferred but not mandatory.
