Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a Principal .NET Software Developer to lead the technical direction and architectural design of large-scale, cloud-based systems. This senior technologist will provide ownership for architecture and design of scalable, high-performance applications within AWS or Azure environments.
Responsibilities
- Steer software architecture and technical strategies for core platform services
- Create enterprise-level APIs, backend services, and web applications
- Develop and review robust, maintainable production code in C#/.NET
- Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, availability, and security standards
- Promote best practices such as clean coding, design patterns, and sound system architecture
- Address and minimize technical debt while enhancing system maintainability
- Work collaboratively with Product, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Senior Leadership teams
- Facilitate agile delivery by mentoring, conducting code reviews, and providing technical guidance
- Maintain up-to-date architectural documentation and technical standards
Required Skills and Experience
- Over 8 years of experience in software development and system architecture
- Expert proficiency with C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, and MVC architecture
- Significant experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and Node.js
- Strong understanding of SQL Server, relational databases, as well as NoSQL databases
- Proven deployment experience in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, and code quality tools like SonarQube
- Deep knowledge of software design patterns, microservices architecture, and distributed systems
- Experience operating in agile and scrum development workflows
- Possession of a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred
