About the Role

The role involves leading the creation of educational content using artificial intelligence for an innovative English literacy application tailored for children from underprivileged communities. This app will be utilized primarily on tablets in schools lacking trained teachers, focusing on engaging, self-directed learning through play. The content strategically integrates Urdu and English to support language acquisition while maintaining enjoyment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design educational content ideas aligned with learning goals for stories, videos, games, and various learning aids.
• Create, refine, and iterate content via an internal AI-powered production platform.
• Perform quality checks on content produced by team members to guarantee consistent standards.
• Analyze student engagement and performance metrics to continually improve content quality.
• Conduct field visits to test content directly with children and observe interaction patterns.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to influence the development of production tools and roadmaps.
• Manage production tracking systems and maintain clear communication within the team to ensure alignment.
• Maintain linguistic and cultural authenticity, balancing Urdu and English thoughtfully to optimize learning outcomes.
• Develop and enforce visual style guides for AI-generated elements, including character designs and interface layouts.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate writes fluently and quickly for children aged five to eight and can creatively translate educational objectives into captivating stories, interactive games, videos, or immersive activities. Proficiency in English with some Urdu knowledge and awareness of the local cultural context is essential. Familiarity with AI-assisted content creation tools is expected, with the ability to communicate workflow needs effectively to technical teams. Experience in phonics, structured literacy, classroom English instruction, assessment design, or education in low-resource environments is advantageous but not mandatory.

Preferred qualifications include a minimum of two years' experience in digital learning content creation, a passion for digital educational media, competence in content development for children, a strong sense of visual creativity, attention to detail, and the capacity to work swiftly and iteratively.
