Job description
Position Overview
The Housekeeping Executive will oversee the quality of cleaning in guest rooms, public spaces, and other hotel areas after housekeeping staff complete their tasks, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Key responsibilities include analyzing sold room reports, verifying room statuses, identifying rooms requiring re-cleaning, prioritizing cleaning schedules, and updating the status of rooms prior to guest departure.
Key Duties
- Support housekeeping management in daily operations, including coordinating efforts among Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
- Document and resolve discrepancies in rooms with the Front Desk.
- Prepare and communicate changes to room assignments and ensure a smooth handover to subsequent shifts.
- Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching housekeeping staff.
- Comply with all company policies as well as safety and security procedures; report maintenance issues, hazards, or incidents; and complete mandatory safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a professional and clean personal appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information to protect company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests per company standards, attend to their service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and engage in courteous communication.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and respond respectfully to employee concerns.
- Ensure adherence to company quality standards and expectations.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting objects up to 55 pounds solo and heavier weights with assistance, pushing/pulling loaded carts on varied surfaces, reaching, bending, twisting, standing or walking for extended periods, and using fine motor skills as required.
- Access and input work-related data using computer systems or point-of-sale devices and accurately read information presented in various formats.
- Carry out additional reasonable responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: At least one year of relevant work experience in housekeeping or a related area, including at least one year in a supervisory role.
- Licenses/Certifications: None required.
