We are currently recruiting a Project Controls Engineer (Document Controller) to support our Google Data Centre projects in Grimsby, requiring onsite attendance three days weekly.
Role Overview
The Document Controller will manage and configure the Common Data Environment (CDE) systems, serve as the primary contact for CDE-related queries, provide training sessions for users, maintain user guides, prepare KPIs and quality assurance reports, and support data centre project documentation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain the CDE platform including user accounts and security groups.
- Act as the liaison with the project team and stakeholders for all CDE-related requests.
- Deliver training for new and existing users on CDE systems and document control protocols.
- Develop and update training materials and user documentation.
- Generate weekly KPI reports on issued instructions and workflows, perform quality assurance on formal documentation.
- Establish new project setups within the CDE and assign user permissions.
- Provide ad-hoc reports regarding system usage and compliance.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least 5 years of experience in document control.
- Strong understanding of BIM ISO 19650 standards.
- Administrator-level proficiency in one or more CDE/EDMS platforms such as ACC, Aconex, ViewPoint, Procore, or Asite.
- Experience in KPI reporting and performing gap analyses to align processes with client requirements.
- Capability to write protocols and deliver workshops effectively.
- Previous work experience in real estate or data centre sectors preferred.
- Exposure to PMO environments or large framework projects is advantageous.
