About the role
Downer is hiring for a newly established Document Controller position to support a major project at its Torbanlea site in Queensland. This role sits within the Document Control team and reports to the Document Controls Manager, working alongside operational teams to maintain strong document governance across the QTMP project.
As the project continues to expand, this is a chance to contribute to a significant, state-shaping initiative and help improve consistency and efficiency in project documentation.
Key accountabilities
- Establish project document control processes and tools where needed, including registers, reports, InEight Document setup, and folder structures.
- Prepare placeholders and document numbers within InEight Document.
- Review documents for quality and completeness before they are logged into the system.
- Apply document codes to records received from internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Manage hard-copy filing for project documents and drawings where required.
- Archive documents and drawings in line with project requirements.
About you
The ideal candidate brings at least 4 years of experience in document control, data entry, or a similar administrative function. You should be highly process-oriented, comfortable working to strict procedures, and confident using InEight or comparable systems such as Aconex or TeamBinder. Strong capability in Microsoft Office and excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills are also important.
Work arrangement
This is a full-time, permanent position based onsite at the Torbanlea Manufacturing Facility.
