Job description
Role Overview
Join our pharmacy team as a Dispenser in one of our UK stores, playing a vital role in supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and related healthcare services. This position involves direct interaction with patients, processing prescriptions, and offering informed advice to support their health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions accurately and safely, including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and managing collection processes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals within the store to contribute to pharmacy service management and delivery.
- Advise patients regarding their medicines and direct queries to pharmacists when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain legal and safe dispensing practices.
- Stay informed of innovations in-store and comply with operational protocols.
- Assist patients in managing their prescriptions efficiently to encourage adherence and minimize medicine waste.
- Engage with evolving dispensing technologies designed to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Completion of the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or equivalent, or progress beyond the first year of an MPharm qualification.
- Proof of current and valid UK right to work; note this role does not offer Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in community pharmacy settings is advantageous.
