Role Overview

The Dishwasher and Utility Person at Gator’s Dockside plays a critical part in maintaining impeccable cleanliness and safety within the dishwashing and refuse disposal areas. Reporting to management, this role involves adhering strictly to organizational policies and procedures to ensure a superior dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain organization, sanitization, and safety of the dishwashing area and refuse disposal zones.
• Clean and sanitize a variety of food service items including dishes, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, and prep equipment using a three-sink system or mechanical dishwashing machines.
• Communicate any equipment malfunctions or unsafe, unsanitary conditions immediately to supervisors including Kitchen Manager, Assistant Managers, and General Manager.
• Complete cleaning and organization projects promptly as directed by management.
• Assist as prep cook during slower periods, following corporate food prep guidelines and maintaining valid food safety certification.
• Support cleaning and upkeep of all common restaurant areas such as restrooms, dining areas, floors, walls, and equipment as instructed.
• Maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness consistent with the company’s standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Ability to work collaboratively with management and hourly staff in a courteous and professional manner.
• Familiarity with sanitation and safety protocols for food service operations.
• Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks involving cleaning, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Valid food safety certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
