Budget Transparency and Accountability ↗

Citizen Feedback Platform

The Budget Transparency and Accountability Project sponsored by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH run for 2 years whereby as the program coordinator of the project, I coordinated the empowerment of and enhanced the public participation of citizens at the grassroot level, specifically cutting across 20 districts in Uganda. 200 Ugandan citizens were trained to track the expenditure and effective utilization of public resource to hold government leaders accountable. This was executed through the use of the Citizen Feedback Platform, a mobile platform app designed to enable citizens report or provide feedback on issues of accountability and delivery of social services.
