    Developed a computer-vision system to detect potentially struggling individuals in crowded environments using YOLOv8 Nano and MediaPipe pose. Designed a posture-based detection method using neck/spine alignment and forward-lean measurements to identify abnormal postures. Implemented IoU-based tracking and temporal grace periods to improve detection stability and reduce false positives. Explored real-time deployment using IP camera input and edge-computing platforms such as Raspberry Pi.
