Hybrid Smart Renewable Energy System for HighwaysEmbedded C, ESP32, LDR, IR sensors, UART
Designed a hybrid renewable energy system combining solar panel and vertical-axis wind turbine (VAWT) for smart highway street lighting. Programmed ESP32 in Embedded C to monitor battery voltage, regulate power flow and automate streetlights via LDR and IR sensors. Implemented UART-based data logging and fault-detection logic to manage streetlight failures and EV charging from stored energy. Applied power-electronics principles for energy harvesting, battery storage and load switching; delivered a working smart-city prototype.
