The Role:
As the Head of Learning & Development, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a comprehensive strategy to build and enhance the skills of our field teams. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, including field managers, controllers, and senior leadership, to ensure that training initiatives are aligned with business needs and future demands. Your leadership will help shape the development of field employees, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge necessary to meet personal and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capability Strategy Development: Design and implement the capability strategy for Ferrero, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals and evolving demands across all channels.
- Training Delivery & Leadership: Provide targeted training to Controllers, Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), Senior Development Managers (SDMs), and others, ensuring that each group is equipped to support field teams effectively. Mentor and empower the Field Quality Manager and Digital Specialist to excel in their roles.
- Training Evaluation & Continuous Improvement: Develop processes to assess training effectiveness, measure performance, and refine training programs to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure training remains relevant and impactful. Collaborate with the Ferrero Field Quality Manager to align training initiatives.
- Future-Ready Capability Building: Lead the identification of future training needs, ensuring the organization stays ahead of industry trends and incorporates new technologies and approaches.
- Reporting & Communication: Provide guidance to the Field Quality Manager and Digital Specialist. Foster strong relationships through regular communication and feedback to continuously improve training outcomes.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience: Extensive background in field training, field management, or training program development, ideally in a retail or wholesale environment. Proven ability to lead and mentor teams to success.
- Qualifications & Skills: Relevant qualifications in Learning & Development, Leadership, or similar. Strong understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital tools. Excellent project management skills.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Experience mentoring and providing leadership to direct reports, such as Field Quality Managers and Digital Specialists. Strong ability to communicate and engage with all levels of the organization.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to tailor your approach to diverse audiences and foster strong relationships.
- Future-Focused: A forward-thinking mindset, ready to develop training strategies that anticipate future business needs.
