Job Requirements

• 2+ years of industry experience in the relevant function.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably from life science background.
• Certification in Medical coding from AAPC or AHIMA. (CPC, CGSC, COC, etc).
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

Job Descriptions

• Expertise on a wide range of procedures like; Acute and chronic pain, Pain management injection procedures, Chemo denervation procedures, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), Nerve blocks, including occipital or trigeminal blocks.
• Research for information in cases where the coding is complex or unusual.
• Review the patient’s history for appending global modifiers.
• Ensure codes are accurate, active, and sequenced correctly in accordance with insurance regulations.
