In this role, you will leverage data and insights to address critical business challenges in Property, shaping credit strategy and risk appetite while optimizing risk and return. Your work will enhance data-driven decision-making, driving a significant step change in strategic execution across the division.

You will develop insightful reports, analyse key trends, and deliver actionable recommendations to essential Property teams—such as Products and Sales—to support safe and effective business growth.

What will your day look like?

  • Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making in areas such as risk assessment, customer acquisition, portfolio performance and compliance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Analyse mortgage lending data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks
  • Design, develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau to visualise key business metrics
  • Write and optimise SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various sources
  • Develop and maintain SAS programs for data processing, analysis, and modelling
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across all reporting solutions
  • Document technical processes and maintain data dictionaries

What do we expect from you

  • Experience in data mining, statistical and data science skills, underpinned by proficiency in relevant software such as SQL and SAS
  • Experience with Tableau or similar visualisation tools for dashboard creation
  • Ability to hone in on the key insight within data sets, and develop actionable business recommendations from data
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the curiosity to understand a business model in detail to support meaningful analytics
  • Good presentation skills and ability to articulate insight in a way that’s compelling and appropriately succinct
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Background in credit risk would be an advantage.
