The Help Desk Technician Tier 1 or Tier 2 will be an integral part of the technology team at GACS. Your experience and qualifications will determine the role (Tier 1 or Tier 2) in which you are hired.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide Help Desk operations and support for students and faculty including identifying hardware/software issues, laptop management, ID cards picture prep, printing, inventory, digital AP Testing, managing bell systems/schedules, intercom systems, and phone systems.
  • Must enjoy a variety of interactions with students and faculty including (but not limitied to) sitting at the help desk with walkup clients, trouble shooting in different buildings across campus
  • Ability to think on your feet and define problems before attempting to solve will put you ahead
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor of Science – Information Systems or equivalent experience preferred
  • Qualified experience supporting technology in an educational environment preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to be stationary for prolonged periods at a desk, sometimes while working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to read written or electronic documents with or without correction.
  • Must be able to traverse between office buildings/facilities on campus.

  • Successful background check, reference checking, and drug/alcohol screening clearance;
