Job Description

  • Attend weekly team meetings & bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with Preschool Director
  • Contribute to series creativity meetings and help Preschool (PS) & Elementary School (ES) Creative Directors know how long animation will take
  • Be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud software (most importantly Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects)
  • Work with the team to create illustrations and animations for KidSpring curriculum including, but not limited to, Bible stories, teaching videos, on-screen games, song videos, social media, character design/animation, and branding elements
  • Add sound design to animations and assist in the voiceover process as needed
  • Create special effects when needed
  • Develop storyboards for projects where visuals would supplement the pitch meeting/creativity
  • Have an exceptional eye for clear visual communication with a good pulse on current age-appropriate trends and best practices
  • Assist with Elementary projects as needed in collaboration with Elementary Illustrator
  • Manage PS animation Wrike tasks
  • Participate in Wrike conversations with clear questions, explanations, and status updates, especially in regards to deadlines
  • Participate in giving honest and helpful feedback on team approvals
  • Assist on KidSpring video shoots as needed
  • Pursue mastery by studying kids programming and growing in animation knowledge and skills
  • Volunteer in KidSpring on Sundays to gather feedback and occasionally travel to other campuses for a broader view of curriculum implementation
  • Uphold KidSpring MPS and Culture Values
  • Always be prepared to serve anyone (volunteer/staff/kid) needing assistance
  • Do whatever it takes to help the church reach its mission to see everyone, everywhere in an everyday relationship. Occasionally this will mean performing duties and tasks outside of your normal job responsibilities.

  • Develop personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.
  • Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of NewSpring Church staff members, as defined by the Policies and Procedures Handbook.
  • Financially support the vision of NewSpring Church by faithfully giving at least 10% of gross income.
