Position Overview

We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join our Communications team and play a key role in shaping our visual identity through compelling digital storytelling. This role is ideal for a creative professional who is passionate about using design to engage audiences, elevate brand presence, and drive social impact.

The Graphic Designer will focus exclusively on digital content creation, producing high-quality assets for a range of platforms, including:

  • Social media graphics
  • Event branding
  • Website visuals and landing pages
  • Email marketing assets
  • Digital reports and presentations

Additionally, the Graphic Designer will work closely with the Product team to develop engaging visual assets that support product marketing efforts, ensuring clear and compelling communication of Odyssea’s programs and offerings.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional to contribute to a mission-driven organization and use design as a tool to amplify social impact. The role is based at Odyssea’s Development offices in Ampelokipoi, Athens, with one remote workday per week.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute visually compelling digital content that aligns with Odyssea’s brand identity and effectively communicates its impact.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to design assets for social media, email campaigns, presentations, and website content.
  • Work with the Product team on product marketing efforts, ensuring clarity and engagement in digital communication.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all digital channels, ensuring a cohesive and recognizable visual identity.
  • Stay up to date with design trends and digital marketing best practices to enhance Odyssea’s outreach.
  • Support the team in ideating and conceptualizing creative campaigns that amplify social impact.
  • Design branded materials such as brochures, event banners, infographics, and promotional assets.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Manage and organize design assets, templates, and brand guidelines for easy team access.
  • Prepare files for print production and liaise with external suppliers.
  • Assist the Marketing team in optimizing visual content for different platforms (social media, website, presentations).
  • Support internal teams by providing design templates for presentations and reports.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to enhance visual storytelling and audience engagement through design.
  • Work with the Communications team to ensure visuals support fundraising and awareness campaigns.
  • Provide insights on how design can strengthen brand positioning and increase audience engagement.

What You’ll Need

  • 2+ years of experience in digital graphic design
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) or other industry-standard design tools.
  • Experience creating engaging social media content, marketing assets, and digital reports.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing clean, modern, and impactful digital designs.
  • Understanding of brand identity, typography, and color theory.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing trends, social media platforms, and visual storytelling techniques.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality work.
  • Strong communication skills in both Greek and English.
  • A passion for social impact and nonprofit work.

Added value: Not Required, But Nice to Have!

  • Experience with motion graphics or video editing (After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email or website design.
