About This Position

This position is located in a Jail/Correctional Facility and requires working in close contact with and interacting with inmates.

Manage redistribution to ship 100% of purchase order on time in the most efficient manner. Manage all raw and finished products to produce and meet purchase demands with limited waste.

Essential Functions, Duties, And Responsibilities

• Maximize Quality Production with limited down time and waste
• Know and follow all Do’s and Don’ts and Company Policies in a positive manner
• Comply with FDA, GMP, OSHA and HACCP guidelines.
• Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
• Wear proper PPE per MSDS and OSHA.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Ability to recognize and correct quality issues
• Report any unsafe condition or property damage to supervisor immediately
• Always notify your supervisor before leaving work station
• Ensure all safety precautions are taken prior to operating machines
• Ensure all employees follow the above listed guidelines
• Open and close facility as directed
• Know and ensure everyone follows “Safety Related Work Practices”, GMP, and Do’s and Don’ts
• Follow all rules and regulations set by company in a positive up-beat manner
• Conduct interviews for warehouse personnel
• Be able to conduct employee reviews in a timely manner
• Train warehouse personnel on procedures
• Daily scheduling and supervising of warehouse personnel ensuring that the warehouse has proper coverage at all times
• Able to establish daily scheduling to meet goals
• Be able to implement changes quickly
• Understand products and what it takes to produce them
• Ensure production areas have the correct raw materials for finished product they are running on a daily basis
• Ensure warehouse equipment, i.e. forklifts, wrappers, supplies are maintained according to company standards
• Daily upkeep of warehouse facilities
• Interior and exterior
• Trash collection
• Uniforms
• Lawn service/snow removal
• Housekeeping
• Company vehicles
• Ensure warehouse is in good order including clean, well lit, 18” perimeter, etc.
• Keep warehouse in compliance with OSHA and FDA regulations
• Ensure stock is organized by lot number, rotated properly to ensure freshness of product, partial skids are combined, and product is placed on skids according to company standards
• Keep production areas stocked and ensure that at the end of the shift, the warehouse is clean and organized
• Keep open communication with Keefe Corporate for purchasing, packaging and distribution
• Maintain accurate records of inter-company shipments on a daily basis
• Maintain accurate records of incoming as well as outgoing shipments
• Track shortages in shipments
• Keep a schedule of incoming products, coordinating them so product can be put away as received
• Budget warehouse expenses, gather competitive quotes
• Maintain cycle count inventory
• Conduct semi-annual physical inventory
• Implement cost savings whenever possible
• Work closely with other members of management to help meet daily goals
• Other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Plant Manager of Keefe Supply Company Packaging Division

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two-four years experience.
