Technology Exploration & Prototyping Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a dynamic Technology Exploration & Prototyping Specialist to support innovation efforts at EPF. This role focuses on researching emerging technologies, conducting feasibility assessments, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions. You will play a key role in evaluating market trends, generating insights, and developing prototypes that align with business needs.

As part of the Technology Exploration & Prototyping team, you will be responsible for transitioning validated concepts into Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with business objectives. You will collaborate closely with enterprise-wide stakeholders to drive seamless integration and adoption. The role also involves quality assurance, compliance, and performance optimization of PoCs and MVPs, contributing to EPF’s innovation agenda.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research and explore emerging technologies, including AI, to evaluate feasibility through structured testing and analysis
• Develop trend reports and insights to provide leadership with a better understanding of technological advancements and their impact.
• Monitor industry trends, technological disruptions, and innovation opportunities to support decision-making.
• Contribute to Proof-of-Concept (PoC) initiatives by testing new technologies for real-world applications.
• Develop Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) by designing and building functional prototypes for solution validation.
• Develop AI-driven solutions by handling data preparation and processing for model optimization.
• Collaborate with enterprise-wide stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of innovative solutions.
• Ensure quality assurance, compliance, and performance standards for PoCs and MVPs, contributing to EPF’s innovation objectives.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

• Strong enthusiasm for exploring new technologies, staying updated with industry advancements, and quickly grasping new tools and concepts to apply them effectively in real-world challenges.
• Good understanding of technology exploration and prototyping, with hands-on experience in researching, testing, and validating emerging technologies.
• Experience in software development, covering both frontend and backend principles.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques.
• Experience in handling and processing data to support AI model training and optimization.
• Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to learning in a fast-paced innovation environment

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Malaysian citizen.
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology Management, Information Systems/Technologies (IS/IT), or an equivalent qualification from accredited higher learning institutions.
• Pass Malay Language, including oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent as recognized by the Government.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in software development/prototyping-related/ AI specialist roles.
