Job Overview

Braxtone Group, a leading professional services organization, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join its Bahrain team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role plays a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the organization’s financial records. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting and finance-related tasks, including financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including account reconciliation, bank statement analysis, and cash flow forecasting
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Bahrain GAAP
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, prepare reports, and provide insights to management
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes to develop and monitor financial plans
• Review and approve invoices, purchase orders, and other financial transactions
• Ensure the accuracy of financial records and maintain a high level of integrity
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
• Stay up-to-date on accounting principles, industry best practices, and relevant regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Bahrain GAAP
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and attention to detail skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as SAP or Oracle NetSuite, is essential
• Knowledge of Bahrain tax laws and regulations is an advantage
