What makes this role meaty?
We are looking for a Management Trainee (Company Secretary) to support corporate secretarial functions. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder coordination. The candidate will work closely with the company secretary to ensure seamless execution of secretarial and legal obligations, including compliance with the Companies Act and other regulatory requirements.

Secretarial & Compliance Support:
- Assist in preparing Board, Committee, and Shareholder meeting notices, agendas, minutes and resolutions.
- Maintain and update statutory registers and records as per the Companies Act, 2013.
- Support in filing returns, e-forms, and reports with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), SEBI (LODR) as and when applicable, RBI, and other regulatory bodies.
- Assist in all other event-based Company Secretarial activities
Regulatory Filings & Documentation:
- Assist in preparing and filing MGT-7, AOC-4, PAS-3, DIR-12, such other event-based compliance forms.
- Support compliance with FEMA, SEBI, and other applicable regulations.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing corporate agreements, resolutions, and such other regulatory reports.
Governance & Risk Management:
- Assist in monitoring and implementation of corporate governance frameworks and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Support in risk assessment, regulatory updates, and policy implementation.
- Coordinate with auditors, legal counsel, and external consultants for secretarial compliance-related matters.
Stakeholder Coordination & Miscellaneous Tasks:
- Liaise with internal teams for data collection.
- Support in due diligence activities for M&A, fundraising, and restructuring projects.
- Maintain and track compliance calendars and periodic filings.
We hope you have..
- A LL.B. from a recognized university.
- 1-5 years in real estate legal matters and litigation.
- A strong understanding of land laws, property documentation, and tenancy laws in Karnataka.
- Experience in handling litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution.
- Proficiency in legal drafting, contract review, and compliance.
- Proficiency in Kannada (reading, writing, and speaking) is mandatory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple legal matters simultaneously.
