What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Provide educational and support programs to enhance deployment readiness for service members and their families
• Conduct outreach efforts targeting at-risk groups, including first-term service members and single parents
• Prepare and distribute deployment materials and checklists to requesting commands
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops covering various aspects of military life and transition assistance
• Maintain accurate records of services delivered in the scheduling module within the FFSMIS system

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in a social science or related behavioral science field, or four years of equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience providing advocacy services and collaborating with various resources
• Strong oral and written communication skills and advocacy knowledge
• Experience in personal financial management and career decision-making support for military families
• Ability to operate within established guidelines of the Navy Fleet and Family Support Program

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Knowledge of the FFSMIS system
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365
• Experience working with family programs or military social service agencies
• Personal experience as a military family member
