Job Title: Global HR Director (US Corporate office with manufacturing sites in China and Costa Rica)

Job Summary
The Global HR Director will provide strategic HR leadership and support for our corporate office in Coral Springs, FL and the manufacturing and supply chain operations across the United States, China, and Costa Rica. This role is crucial in aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, and driving talent management strategies across diverse cultural landscapes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in global HR, an understanding of manufacturing, and a proven track record of successfully navigating complex international HR challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement global HR strategies that support the organization’s operational goals in the US, China, and Costa Rica.
- Partner with senior leadership as a member of the Leadership Team to provide strategic HR guidance on organizational design, talent management, compensation analysis and workforce planning.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop proactive solutions.
- Lead HR due diligence and integration activities for mergers and acquisitions or expansions of the operational footprint.
- Own and manage the Total Rewards for US operations, lending expertise and collaboration to international teams.
- Talent Management:
- Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent in all regions.
- Oversee compensation and bonus processes
- Implement performance management programs that drive employee engagement and productivity.
- Develop and facilitate leadership development programs to build a strong pipeline of future leaders.
- Spearhead employee engagement initiatives including succession planning to ensure business continuity.
- Employee Relations and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations in the US, China, and Costa Rica.
- Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that are consistent with the best global practices and local regulations.
- Oversee payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Cultural Competence and Communication:
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that respects cultural differences.
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure clear and consistent messaging across all regions.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on cross-cultural communication and management, leading the People and Talent L10 meetings on behalf of the organization.
- Act as a cultural liaison between different regions.
- Operational HR Support:
- Provide day-to-day HR support to operations managers and employees in all regions.
- Manage HR budgets and resources effectively.
- Oversee HR technology and systems to ensure efficient and effective HR operations.
- Manage Expatriate assignments and local hires.
- Change Management:
- Lead change management initiatives related to organizational restructuring, process improvements, and cultural shifts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Relevant job experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive HR experience, witha focus on global operations and manufacturing/supply chain.
- Extensive knowledge of labor laws and regulations in the US, China, and Costa Rica.
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing global HR strategies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with HRIS systems (ADP Total Source).
- Fluency in English; professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese or Spanish is highly desirable.
