Assistant Manager – Global Ocean Product

Responsibilities

• Support the Management in growing strategic product initiatives for Asia to LATAM and monitor growth in specific trade lanes.
• Assist in developing and promoting trade development through effective procurement, carrier management, and business planning.
• Help develop and monitor Kerry Global Ocean Product Strategy with a focus on ocean freight and supply chain opportunities.
• Maintain carrier relationships in alignment with GHQ’s strategy on regional lanes.
• Analyze volume and financial reports on global trades to identify bottlenecks and performance issues.
• Support tender activities and prepare strategic agendas for ocean meetings and initiatives.
• Work with pricing teams to ensure competitiveness and achieve business goals.
• Design carrier matrix for assigned trade lanes and monitor compliance with Product SOP.
• Review financial performance (e.g., GP, volumes) against targets and propose growth initiatives.
• Assist in monthly trade lane performance reporting to support business planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in management, logistics, distribution, or supply chain management.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the logistics industry, with at least 2 years in ocean product management.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with overseas offices.
• Excellent numerical and PowerPoint presentation skills.
• Global mindset with strong carrier relationship management and product skills.
• Well-developed commercial and strategic business acumen.
• Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.
• Proactive approach to business with results-oriented focus.
• Fluent English written and spoken, multi-lingual as required on route, Chinese or other language preferred
