Job Description
The Welcome Girl position is a critical role in ensuring guest satisfaction and maintaining the hotel’s reputation for excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Greet and acknowledge each guest with appropriate formality, maintaining professional demeanour at all times.
- Provide a courteous farewell to departing guests, ensuring their experience concludes positively.
- Address guest requests, concerns, and needs with utmost urgency and professionalism, prioritising guest satisfaction as a paramount objective.
- Maintain impeccable personal presentation, adhering strictly to company policies regarding uniform standards and hygiene.
- Demonstrate active listening skills when interacting with guests, ensuring a customer-centric approach and appropriate handling of complaints.
- Facilitate interdepartmental communication to ensure seamless guest service delivery.
- Strictly adhere to VIP protocols, providing distinguished service to high-profile guests.
- Conduct regular assessments of guest satisfaction levels during various activities and report findings to the Guest Relations Supervisor.
- Process and respond to guest feedback forms, suggestions, and complaints with due diligence.
- Participate in mandatory training programmes and departmental meetings to maintain and enhance professional standards.
- Actively contribute to environmental conservation efforts, including waste reduction, proper chemical handling, and promoting sustainable practices.
- Uphold the highest standards of personal hygiene and appearance, recognising the critical nature of guest-facing roles.
- Execute all responsibilities related to quality management systems as implemented by the facility.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management, understanding the fluid nature of hospitality operations.
- Rigorously adhere to pandemic prevention protocols and response procedures as established by the facility.
Qualifications
- Education: at least High school or vocational diploma
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the industry.
- Foreign Language: Proficiency in English to communicate with guests and understand the professional terminology related to the devices and a good command of Arabic, German, French or Russian.
- Courses and Training: Prior attendance in seminars and trainings related to the job.
- Computer Literacy: MS Office applications, Front Office programmes (Fidelio, Opera etc.).
- Skills: Is familiar with guest profiles based on his/her experience. Customer Service Orientation.
