A dynamic company focused on digital innovation is seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Security Operations to lead its Security Operations (SecOps) team. This role will oversee all aspects of security operations, including incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, and security automation. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the organization maintains a robust and proactive security posture while enabling the business to operate efficiently and securely. You will lead a talented team, including security analysts, engineers, and an automation engineer, and work closely with other teams (DevOps, IT, and compliance) to develop and execute strategies to address current and emerging threats.

What You’ll Do
Leadership & Strategy
– Develop and execute a SecOps strategy aligned with organizational goals and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC 2, GDPR).
– Lead and mentor the SecOps team, collaborating with stakeholders (CISO, DevOps, IT, etc.) to embed security across the organization.
– Define and track KPIs (e.g., MTTD/MTTR) to measure SecOps effectiveness.
Security Operations Management
– Oversee daily security operations (monitoring, detection, incident response).
– Ensure the operational effectiveness of SecOps tools (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, scanners, cloud platforms).
– Maintain and review incident response processes, incorporating lessons learned.
Threat Detection & Automation
– Enhance threat detection through advanced rules and automated workflows.
– Implement security automation to reduce manual workload and streamline response.
– Stay current on emerging threats and keep the team proactive.
Vulnerability Management & Compliance
– Oversee timely identification, prioritization, and remediation of vulnerabilities.
– Align with compliance frameworks and manage audit evidence.
– Collaborate with departments to enforce security policies and regulatory requirements.
Team Development
– Recruit, onboard, and retain top security talent.
– Provide clear career development pathways with training and certifications.
– Foster a collaborative, innovative environment for knowledge sharing.
What They’re Looking For
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
– 8+ years of experience in security operations, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
– Strong knowledge of security technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, IDS/IPS, WAF, and cloud security platforms.
– Experience leading incident response efforts and managing large-scale security events.
– Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, GDPR, or ISO 27001.
– Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Bonus Points
– Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC.
– Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and securing hybrid environments.
– Expertise in vulnerability management and patch management processes.

Salary Range
The Base Salary range for this position is **$241,000 – $276,000 annually.**
