Senior Executive (Campsite Operations)

Job Description

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

Main Roles & Responsibilities

Curate and Develop Immersive Wildlife Experiences

  • Design, curate, and enhance wildlife experiences focused on conservation, nature, and public education.
  • Inspire and educate guests on wildlife protection through interactive and engaging programs.

Product Development and Launches

  • Assist Manager in the overall support and manage the day-to-day operations of camping programmes and bookings, plan end-to-end development and execution of wildlife experiences.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation and alignment with operational goals.
  • Design experiences tailored for Mandarin-speaking audiences when required.

Support Operations and Guest Engagement

  • Manage campsite, liaise with contractors and ensure facilities and amenities are in tip-top condition for guests.
  • Work closely with on-ground operations, maintain an effective flow of communication with all camp personnel, upholding campsite policies and regulations and demonstrate a good understanding of animal knowledge to enhance visitor experiences.
  • Work with the Manager and use property management system to effectively manage check-in and check-out times during camp.
  • Handle enquiries and service challenges promptly with a customer-oriented and positive approach, in accordance with established procedures and report to supervisor for further follow-up when necessary. Glitch reports are to be written when necessary.
  • Confidently conduct presentations and engage with diverse audiences, ensuring memorable guest experiences.
  • Generate guest related reports and handle financial tasks such as billing and inventory management, ensuring business runs efficiently and profitably.
  • Provide support, constructive feedback and facilitate training for new hires and part-timers.
  • Able to work on rotating shifts, public holidays, and weekends.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum Education Qualification: Diploma, preferably in Business/Events Management, Tourism/Hospitality, or related fields
  • Diploma/Degree, preferably in Business/Events Management, Tourism/Hospitality, or related fields.
  • Microsoft Words, Excel, PPT, and Guest Experience
  • Knowledge of using campsite management system will have an advantage.
  • Holds or is willing to obtain a Class 2/Class 3 driving license or Basic Theory & Final Theory certification for buggy driving.
  • Strong passion for conservation, nature, wildlife, and public education.
  • Enjoy working outdoors and inspiring others to protect wildlife.
  • Excellent team player, with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good understanding of on-ground operations and animal knowledge is preferred.
  • Confident, energetic, and comfortable with public speaking and guest interactions.
  • Willing to learn, with good self-expression and communication skills.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English; knowledge of Mandarin is advantageous.
  • Experienced in running camps/glamps and teambuilding programs.
  • Experienced in handling service challenges effectively.
