About The Position
- Job Title:** Maternal Child Health (MCH) RN**Job Specialty:** Labor & Delivery – Critical Need**Job Duration:** 13 weeks**Shift:** 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week**Experience:** – Minimum of 1-year recent full-time equivalent experience in the last 3 years- Preferred: Five plus years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery within the last 2 years- Preferred: One year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last 2 years- High-risk OB experience preferred**License:**- Registered Nurse License in the state where care is provided**Certifications:**- Basic Life Support- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program- ACLS**Must-Have:** – RN License and relevant certifications**Job Description:** – Provide nursing care and support for women before, during, and after childbirth- Monitor and assess the health of mothers and babies- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective delivery experiences- Administer medications and manage labor inductions when necessary- Educate and support mothers and families regarding postpartum care and newborn care- Handle high-risk pregnancies and deliveries with proficiency and calm- Respond to emergency situations and provide neonatal resuscitation as neededPlease note that this position requires someone with a compassionate demeanor who can handle stressful situations well while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
