Toyota Canada Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Consultant, Business Data Analyst to join our SIP team. This is a full-time opportunity that reports to the Manager, Business Analytics and Optimization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and execution of ongoing data initiatives, from planning and development to user acceptance, training, implementation, measurement, and sustainment. They will also be responsible for owning and maintaining regular infrastructure tasks such as managing workspaces and ensuring successful completion of various data jobs.

What You’ll be Doing:
Operational Duties
- Perform Monthly Lease Renewal Activities guiding TFS initiatives
- Maintain the Toyota VIP Program for preferred pricing
- Work with the Data Strategist on larger scale projects that emerge from the business
Project Duties
- Assist SIP as well as other departments with specific data requests and visualization needs
- Work on various data extraction, transformation visualization projects for various internal customers
- Take full ownership (with guidance from team lead) of projects from requirements gathering, data procurement and modelling and interface design
- Serve as business head for projects affecting Sales Data
- Ensure data security and aids Privacy protocols
- Accountable for certain regular data activities that cannot be automated as well as monitoring activities that are automated
- Suggest improvements to Database processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Work Efficiency
- Initiate and implement appropriate ‘kaizen’ (continuous improvement) efforts which results in work efficiencies relating to cost reduction or avoidance, improved time and process efficiencies
- Lock in and measure incremental success through the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Standardize and share successes across the team or organization through ‘yokoten’ (share best practices); continues to improve through kaizen and share again
What You’ll Bring:
- University and/or College education in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics or similar discipline
- 3 years of business experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite Products, Particularly Excel, and Power BI
- Clear comprehension of Data Modelling and Relational Database Management Systems
- Basic knowledge of SQL or similar programming language is an asset
- Experience with Python an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong presentation and facilitation techniques
- Project Management knowledge and experience is mandatory
- Knowledge of ISO quality management systems
- Proven aptitude to initiate & improve work processes to increase efficiencies
