What We’re Looking For:

We’re partnering with a dynamic nonprofit consulting firm to find a Development Associate who is passionate about helping mission-driven organizations thrive. The ideal candidate is someone who combines strong administrative skills with a genuine interest in nonprofit fundraising and development. You’ll be supporting multiple client teams across various service areas, so we’re looking for someone who can juggle different responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their nonprofit career who wants to gain broad exposure to different organizations and fundraising strategies while working alongside experienced professionals in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Support multiple client teams in developing and executing strategic fundraising initiatives
  • Conduct comprehensive prospect research and create detailed donor profiles
  • Create compelling fundraising collateral, including donor presentations, solicitation materials, and campaign documents
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings between clients and their key stakeholders, including potential sponsors, board members, and volunteers
  • Assist in the production of strategic plans and final reports for client projects
  • Manage administrative aspects of client engagements to ensure smooth project execution
  • Help plan and coordinate fundraising and donor engagement events
  • Maintain accurate records and handle data entry in donor management systems
  • Track project timelines and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions for client strategies
  • Support the preparation of fundraising analysis and progress reports
  • Assist with other client service tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, English, or related disciplines
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in nonprofit or philanthropic organizations
  • Knowledge of fundraising and donor relations strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success with project management and meeting deadlines
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with research and data analysis
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Fully fluent in English
  • Ability to commit long-term and full-time
  • Ability to work U.S. business hours (Pacific Time, Central Time, or Eastern Time)
