Construction Superintendent
We are looking for a Construction Superintendent to support construction management for GBA Builders. Project work would primarily be in the Boulder, Co area. This superintendent will have the full support of the project manager while exercising autonomy in day-to-day operations. Successful candidate will be a team player who is self-motivated and willing to jump in and assist where needed, adding value by offering thoughtful solutions and project efficiencies. Experience in the construction of Pharma / Biotech facilities is MANDATORY. Also, interested in candidates with a background heavy in mechanical/piping.
Responsibilities:
- Provide coordination and supervision of Pharma / Biotech renovations and building additions with large amounts of process piping, clean utilities, mechanical upgrades, and automation
- Collaboration with clients, design teams and subcontractors for project success
- Build/maintain jobsite culture of “Safety First”
- Quality Control/Quality Assurance
- Daily coordination and management of subcontractors and jobsite logistics
- Collect, review and submit shop drawings, product data, test reports, etc.
- Build/update construction schedule and ‘look ahead’ schedules
- Review estimates with operations team to ensure logistical/site considerations are included
- Review project budgets with project management weekly /monthly
- Complete daily/weekly reports and maintain photo journal of progress
Requirements:
- Degree in construction management or experience in the trades
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in construction management/supervision
- Good working knowledge of mechanical systems and process piping
- Partnership approach to working with contractors, designers and clients
- MS Office Suite knowledge and strong computer skills
- Proficient with scheduling software
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team
- Self-motivation with good time management skills
