JOB PURPOSE: To provide a warm, nurturing, safe, and loving environment in which children can grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.

Provides Instruction:
- Assists with implementation of curriculum in accordance with mission, purpose, and philosophy of ECM, assisting lead teacher, under supervision of director
- Works cooperatively with his or her co-teacher
- Work together with lead teacher to keep current assessment on children in classroom
- Communicates with families regarding children’s daily progress
- Follows lead teacher’s substitute plans when lead is absent
- Is aware of and complies with policies adopted by board and Staff Handbook
- Attends staff meetings and functions of the Early Childhood Ministry
- Participates in professional growth activities
- Uses good judgment to handle crisis situations and use supervision constructively
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, Center Hours are 6:30 am – 5:30 pm, scheduled hours will vary
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Be certified in First Aid and CPR or willing to obtain
- Must meet state education criteria to work as a lead teacher in Wisconsin (per DCF 251: Group Child Care Centers)
- Must have experience working with young children in an educational setting
Other Preferred Qualities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education
- State Licensed Teacher Certification
- Registry Level of 6 or Higher
