Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Poole. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to helping students develop positive behaviour strategies and succeed both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to students who require additional guidance with behaviour management.
• Assist in creating and maintaining a calm and structured learning environment.
• Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to implement behaviour intervention plans.
• Support students with their social and emotional development.
• Encourage positive behaviour strategies and help students overcome challenges.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with children or young people, particularly in a behaviour support capacity.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with students.
• A patient, calm, and resilient approach to managing behaviour.
• Passionate about making a real impact in students’ lives.
• An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, with any gaps explained).
• An enhanced DBS registered to the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
