Roles & Responsibility

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive business growth in rail logistics within the Gujarat region, with a focus on achieving ICD revenue objectives.
  • Identify and target potential customers, including industrial clients- BCO, manufacturers, Shipping Lines and freight forwarders, to generate new business opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs, and utilize this information to develop tailored sales strategies.
  • Build solid foundation to generate and incrementally increase BCO Revenue through multi-modal selling.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, pricing, and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of services and exceed customer expectations.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and quotations to prospective clients, showcasing the value and benefits of our rail logistics solutions.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, market trends, and competitor activities, and provide regular reports and feedback to the management team.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, including customer data, sales activities, and revenue forecasts, using the company’s CRM system.
  • Customer Delight:
  • Develop and implement processes for collecting, analysing, and acting upon customer feedback to continuously improve the customer experience.
  • Implement initiatives to personalize and customize services based on customer preferences and needs. This could involve offering tailored solutions, personalized communications, or customized packaging options, bring innovation.
  • To drive the team and ensure CRM effectiveness.
  • To attend industry event and keeping new trends in industries handy for customer discussion
  • Collaborating with marketing team to ensure the right marketing and packaging is done for value proposition.
  • Foster collaboration between different departments or teams within the organization to ensure a seamless customer experience. Work closely with customer services, operations, and other support teams to streamline processes and resolve customer issues effectively.

Qualification & Competencies

  • Proven supply chain track record in logistics industry with 10+ years of experience in India.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and negotiate contracts with service providers.
  • Leadership skills to effectively manage a team, set clear goals, and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • In-depth understanding of the rail industry, including transportation modes, equipment, infrastructure, and market dynamics
  • Proficiency English and Hindi (Gujarati will be a plus)
  • Knowledge of Ahmedabad, Hazira, Kandla and other major cargo hubs of Gujarat
  • Able to design and implement solutions pertaining to Rail industry solving customer problems
  • Experience in leading the development and delivery of sales personnel in a service industry.
