Job Description

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Prepare menu items according to Johnny Carino’s recipes, plate presentations and specifications within cook time requirements
  • Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by Guest and prepare and cook food according to instructions
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as ovens, stoves, and dishwashers
  • Complete all assigned prep work
  • Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times
  • Set up work station
  • Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects
  • Be a core team member in a fast-paced kitchen

Qualifications And Skills

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Previous Line Cook or cooking experience preferred

Physical Demands

  • Must have the ability to lift pots, pans, etc., up to 50 pounds in weight
  • Ability to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on high and low shelves
  • Mobility required during the entire shift
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length
