Job Description – QA TESTER
REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE)
- 5+ years’ experience supporting Medicaid Eligibility (Tiers)
- Extensive experience of testing software in later stages of development for reliability and accuracy.
- 7+ years of experience documenting processes and test outcomes.
- Understand program, policy, practice and business operational functions within state and local government Medicaid services.
- Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Ability to communicate (orally and written) effectively with technical, non-technical staff, customers/stakeholders (State and Federal) and executives
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems or related discipline, or equivalent and extensive related project experience; Environments and Tools
- TFS (Team Foundation Server)
- Visual Studio
- MS SQL 2019 / 2022
- MS Project
- MS Office (Excel, Word)
- SharePoint PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
- Experience with Agile software development is a plus.
- Technical skills required to extract data and create ad-hoc reports.
- Understanding of MS testing tools and concepts to assist project test team.
Job Duties
Job Duties as a Software Development Test / QA you will be responsible for all aspects of software testing. Working within the development team you will:
- Plan, design, and author effective test cases.
- Assist the project team in the evaluation and prioritization of bugs and/or enhancements
- Evaluate and test new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines.
- Identifies differences between established standards and user applications and suggests modifications to conform to standards.
- Monitors program performance after implementation to prevent reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation.
- Write documentation to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction.
