Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Operations Officer (COO) to oversee the operational functions of our wealth management and financial planning firm. The COO will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency and scalability while driving company growth and optimizing client service delivery. This role requires deep expertise in managing financial services operations and technology.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership:
- Oversee daily operations, including advisor and staff onboarding, transaction processing, and technology initiatives.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
- Lead cross-functional teams to manage operational projects, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards, including operational controls.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard firm assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Partner with the compliance team to manage audits, risk assessments, and policy updates.
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with the CEO to define and execute strategic goals for operational excellence.
- Drive initiatives to improve service delivery, reduce costs, and enhance the client experience.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness.
- People Management:
- Build and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for staff.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all departments.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a key point of contact for strategic partners, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Support the sales and client services teams in delivering exceptional client experiences.
- Lead initiatives to address client concerns and implement process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in the financial services, insurance, or asset management industries, with at least 5 years in a senior operational leadership role.
- Proven experience managing and scaling operational functions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems, operational platforms, and technology solutions.

$150,000 – $170,000 a year
