Assistant Supervisor-Maintenance Electrician

The qualified candidate is responsible for overseeing the electrical maintenance activities within the poultry plant. This role includes ensuring the efficient operation of electrical systems, managing a team of electricians, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Supports Allen Harim’s mission, vision and values
• Lead and supervise a team of electricians and maintenance personnel.
• Plan and assign daily tasks to ensure timely complete of maintenance activities.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are documented accurately.
• Be able to communicate with other associates at all levels, have a good attendance record,
• Reporting team member performance records to the Management team
• Ensuring the department is in compliance with GMP, HACCP, SSOP, and USDA standards
• Must assist in the training of all associates
• Ensure team members properly wear PPE, and that they understand safety procedures.
• Set daily objectives and communicate them to their team.
• Will be responsible for paperwork relating to the department
• Supervise cleanup work performed during breaks such as lunch, and in between shifts to meet USDA and state requirements
• Must be able to act as Supervisor when needed
• Saturdays to be expected
• All other related duties as assigned

Education And/or Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical maintenance preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems
• Knowledge of Poultry Plant or Food production

Knowledge/Skills

• PC skills required (MS Office)
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills preferred.
• High degree of attention to detail
• Excellent Communications skills as frequent communication is required with management and staff.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner that is consistent with the essential job functions.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Must have the ability to enter all areas of the plant and offices.
• Must be able to climb and crawl in confined spaces.
• Must be able to communicate with all levels of employees as well as outside vendors and government agencies.
