Litigation Paralegal – Federal / District Court / Constitutional Law

Location: Washington, D.C. (Hybrid: In-office Tuesday-Thursday, Remote Monday & Friday)

Reports To: Senior Director of Legal Operations

Salary Range: $65,000 – $105,000 (negotiable based on experience)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years (preferably 5+) in a law firm setting as a litigation paralegal
  • Cite Checking / Blue Book experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: ABA-certified paralegal degree or equivalent credentials

Our client is a premier legal and political law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support its federal litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trial preparation, discovery review, and litigation management. This role requires close coordination with attorneys handling complex litigation matters and political law cases that make a difference.

RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Directly support attorneys with matters in Federal Court.
  • Provide trial support, including trial preparation, organizing exhibits, and managing trial logistics.
  • Conduct discovery review and legal research utilizing Westlaw and LexisNexis.
  • Assist in case management, including filing and responding to FEC administrative complaints, ethics investigations, and compliance-related matters.
  • Support attorneys in political law, including research on ballot access and campaign finance regulations.
  • Coordinate with litigation teams on document production, e-discovery, and large-scale discovery projects.
  • Utilize legal technology tools such as PACER and Westlaw Edge for case research and filings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience, with preference for candidates with 5+ years.
  • Experience with legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
  • Strong knowledge of Blue Book experience / Cite Checking.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and district court procedures.
  • Familiarity with discovery processes and trial preparation.
