Job Description
- coordinate and progress the daily flow of correspondence in and out of the division including follow-up action to ensure collation of responses within required timeframes
- liaise, negotiate and consult with divisional officers to ensure responses to requests are timely and meet content,style and format requirements
- review responses to all ministerial, executive and other correspondence to ensure adequacy of content,quality and standard of presentation and compatibility with gov policy and departmental style guide
- coordinate the compilation, editing and processing of ministerial, executive and other correspondence for the division in consultation with intern business units and external agencies where appropriate
- assist in the delivery of the Ministerial and Executive Correspondence System’s (MECS) ongoing training

This Position Requires
- demonstrate your ability to rapidly acquire a well-developed working knowledge of the division, its operations and the needs of the Deputy Director-General’s office
- demonstrate high level written and editorial skills, including experience in quality assuring correspondence and briefing material
- demonstrate an ability to manage and deliver high-quality ministerial and executive correspondence services to deliver results within tight timeframes with a high level of accuracy
- take personal responsibility for meeting objectives and progressing work, and for committing energy and drive to see that goals are achieved
- display advanced communication skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively liaise, consult and negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders and build positive relationships
- exhibit proven discretion and tact in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
