Safety Officer
Job Description
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will ensure workplace safety compliance, implement health and safety procedures, and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with UAE regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure necessary safety measures are implemented.
- Monitor workplace conditions and report hazards or unsafe practices.
- Conduct safety training sessions for employees and contractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure the proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Keep records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance reports.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities for safety audits and inspections.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the organization.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA certification is mandatory.
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer or HSE Officer in construction, manufacturing, or oil & gas industries.
- Knowledge of UAE labor laws and safety regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Ability to work in high-risk environments and handle emergencies effectively.
