Jr Accountant

Your new company is an engineering business well-established in the market. They are looking to add a junior accountant to their team.

Your new role will include but will not be limited to:

• Assisting Chief Accountant in preparing financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheet and other reports
• Analysing and examining financial information and reports, and providing advice to management as to income, expenditure, profitability, efficiency and other matters as necessary
• Advising on cash flow, related issues and cash flow forecasting
• Reviewing financial reports to ensure that they are accurate and compliant
• Managing accounting systems, procedures and internal controls to ensure overall accuracy and compliance
• Compiling and reconciling accounts by preparing asset, liability and capital accounts
• Assisting in preparation of business activity statements, fringe benefit tax, payroll tax, tax return by providing accurate reports and liaising with external tax agents as necessary

What You’ll Need To Succeed

An Accounting degree is necessary for this role. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a similar position or tax role would be ideal.
