Quality Assurance Tester
Job Description
This is a full time, hourly position working 40 hours per week.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
Under the general supervision of the QA Manager, IT , the QA Tester works directly with the Quality Assurance department to test software, websites, products and other programs for defects.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute test scripts or manual test cases and report results.
- Collaborate with the QA team to create test plans/test cases.
- Thoroughly document steps taken to replicate an issue/bug.
- Report bugs and errors to development team.
- Communicate effectively with developers to help them understand reported bugs.
- Conduct regression testing.
QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with
- Software development methodologies
- Windows Operating Systems.
- Apple Operating Systems.
- Microsoft Office Suite of software including but not limited to Excel and Word.
- Jira or other ticketing system.
- Basic understanding of the internet
- Multiple web browsers
WORKING CONDITIONS
This role follows a hybrid working model, with a base out of one of the following Preferred Travel Group office locations: Chicago, IL; Newport Beach, CA; New York City, New York; or Washington, DC. Associates are generally expected to work from the office 2-3 days per week, allowing for a balance of in-person collaboration and flexible remote working. Office space is beautifully as well as functionally decorated including all required technology tools. Remote work-from-home opportunities will be considered for candidates located more than 50 miles from the abovementioned office locations. Employee is seated most of the time.
Required Training
- Internal QA processes and procedures
- Use of Jira ticketing system.
- Use of automated testing software.
