As our highly valued Senior Trade and Investment Officer, you will contribute to ensuring a bright future for Queensland, Australia and our global partners. You will do this with people who want you to grow and progress.

Reporting to the Manager, HIT, you will have the opportunity to develop, manage and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve trade and investment outcomes within the innovative technologies and life sciences sectors.

Based In Brisbane, Here’s What Your Role Will Involve

  • Deliver investment attraction services including preparing tailored business cases, investor programs and aftercare services and assist Queensland companies that are seeking investment opportunities.
  • Navigate and provide support to companies seeking to access Queensland Government programs and provide information on government policies, programs and incentives to exporters and investors.
  • Identify and recruit new clients while maintaining existing clients and foster and strengthen relationships with partnering organisations to enhance collaboration and a client pipeline.
  • Lead the development of Professional Services/Plan Strategy that will incorporate best practice components and elements, to stimulate exports and investment in Queensland’s professional services industry.
  • Undertake research on new and emerging industries, demand trends and global best practices as they relate to sectoral portfolio responsibilities.
  • Design and Manage projects (i.e. trade and investment missions, relevant sectoral activities, events, and initiatives) that lead to successful outcomes for TIQ clients, including planning, delivery and reporting.
  • Provide written and verbal advice and communications, including reports and ministerial correspondence to high-level stakeholders including Ministers, clients and client representative groups, TIQ senior management and the Board.
