Job Summary:
As our HR Generalist, you will partner with our HR Operations team to work closely with our leaders within your designated business unit to execute human capital and organizational strategies intended to attract, develop, and engage the teammates while advancing the organizations business goals and objectives. You will have the opportunity to develop solutions to a variety of complex HR challenges impacting your division as well as the organization. You will partner with our Teammate Services Centers of Excellence to deliver value-added service to teammates and leaders in the areas of employee relations, performance management, training & development, compensation and benefits, talent management, and employment law. This is a hybrid remote position reporting into our offices or area clinics at least 3 days per week.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conducts regular meetings with respective business units.
- Consults with leaders, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Investigates and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Maintains appropriate documentation.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of teammates, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and teammates to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Supports merger and acquisition (M&A) activities by assisting with preparing for the transaction, onboarding new teammates, and integrating the new business unit into TOI.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
- Provide guidance and support to the teammate services support team.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
- Prior HR or relatable experience required.
- At least 1 year experience resolving complex employee relations issues in Human Resources and/or relatable capacity.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, APHR, PHR, SPHR)
- Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Travel Requirements:
- This is a hybrid remote position reporting into our offices or area clinics at least 3 days per week.
- Local area travel will be expected.
- Up to 25% travel out of state may be required.
