About The Opportunity
The Assistant Project Manager is a key position within the Project Management team, ‘delivering together.’ You’ll be….
- Assisting in enabling and empowering the project team to deliver to cost, schedule, quality and meeting outcomes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide cross functional leadership for initiatives, actions, and outcomes.
- Apply appropriate project methodologies and tools to execute outcomes in line with project management plans and Austal project standards.
- Assist in the establishing and maintaining toolsets and provide governance of their use to report project status (risk register, project finance reporting, performance reporting, safety status etc.)
- Assist in the establishment, monitoring and control of the project management plans and Austal project standards.
- Assist in the establishment, monitoring, and control of the project Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Support in establishing and maintaining stakeholder (internal and external) relationships for the life of the project.
Skills And Experience
- 12+ months experience in Project Management
- 12+months minimum of Defence or Commercial Project Management experience
- Degree or trade qualification in relevant field
- Project Management qualification (desirable)
- Project Management certification through a professional Project Management Body (desirable)
