About The Opportunity

The Assistant Project Manager is a key position within the Project Management team, ‘delivering together.’ You’ll be….

• Assisting in enabling and empowering the project team to deliver to cost, schedule, quality and meeting outcomes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide cross functional leadership for initiatives, actions, and outcomes.
• Apply appropriate project methodologies and tools to execute outcomes in line with project management plans and Austal project standards.
• Assist in the establishing and maintaining toolsets and provide governance of their use to report project status (risk register, project finance reporting, performance reporting, safety status etc.)
• Assist in the establishment, monitoring and control of the project management plans and Austal project standards.
• Assist in the establishment, monitoring, and control of the project Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
• Support in establishing and maintaining stakeholder (internal and external) relationships for the life of the project.

Skills And Experience

• 12+ months experience in Project Management
• 12+months minimum of Defence or Commercial Project Management experience
• Degree or trade qualification in relevant field
• Project Management qualification (desirable)
• Project Management certification through a professional Project Management Body (desirable)
