Job Description
Oversee one or more regions. Our Council oversees two counties, Riverside and San Bernardino County. They are broken down by five regions and one region or more would be assigned to you to monitor. Works closely with the volunteers in their assigned region to ensure Girl Scouts is a community name that improves the quality of life in that community. Utilizes Girl Scout and community data like the Healthy Places Index to assess the needs of the area. Attend monthly regional meetings and some service unit meetings. Regions are broken down by smaller service units and they all have teams that you would be responsible for building rapport with and working with them side by side to ensure our policies and procedures are followed. Manages all aspects of the girl and adult lifecycle including Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE), Girl Scout program, participation, recruitment, volunteer management, conflict resolution, retention and membership renewal year after year, community image, troop support, and regional alignment with the Council. This requirement is in compliance with California Legislation AB506 whereas any administrator, employee, or regular volunteer, of a youth service organization must go through a finger print background check (Live Scan).
the information the organization receives will show any previous criminal history recorded by the Department of Justice (CA DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) for the length of your employment. Additionally, any future infractions wit the two previously stated agencies will be reported to the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio during your employment.
