Job Description:

Epiq is seeking a Document Processor/Presentation Specialist. This is a permanent, full-time position with full medical, dental and vacation benefits. Specialists are responsible for providing document production, administrative, and clerical support. Under general direction from the coordination team, the specialist will also be responsible for managing their assigned tasks in the day-to-day operations of the client. This position requires engaging with client personnel to provide task updates, and to inspire collaboration with the end-user.

HOURS: Monday – Friday. 11:00 pm – 7:30 am (30-minute lunch) or 11:00 pm – 8:00 am (1-hour lunch)

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Design and format PowerPoint presentations for internal and external client meetings. Ensure presentations are visually appealing and professionally formatted. Adhere to firm branding guidelines and standards. Demonstrate familiarity with all elements of design, including layout, typography, slide master, and color schemes.
  • Handle multimedia requests, including video and audio editing. Perform desktop publishing tasks to create brochures, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
  • Using Tools such as Tableau, Power BI or D3.js to create interactive and insightful visual presentations of data.
  • Create, update, organize, analyze, and otherwise process Excel spreadsheets. Format spreadsheets for printing and presentation. Create charts, graphs, and pivot tables to support data analysis.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio). Utilize advanced features such as macros, VBA coding, and other efficiency tools. Ensure diagrams are clear, accurate, and professionally presented.
  • Prepare, format, and edit legal documents, correspondence, and reports. Ensure all documents adhere to firm standards and client requirements.
  • Draft, revise, and finalize various types of documents. Implement edits and revisions as requested by attorneys and staff.
  • Convert documents between various formats (e.g., Word to PDF, PDF to Word, Excel to PDF, PDF to PowerPoint). Handle multimedia file conversions (e.g., MP3 to MP4). Create, edit, and manage PDF forms and documents.
  • Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with firm policies. Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other staff to meet client needs. Communicate effectively to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Assist with a variety of tasks as assigned by the firm. Provide support for special projects and initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of three years’ experience as a Desktop Publisher/Presentation Specialist.
  • High Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite package.
  • Experience in a legal setting preferred but not required. Experience utilizing legal-specific software (AIA, NetDocs, WorkShare, Litera Change-Pro, BigHand Dictation) preferred but not required.
  • A solid understanding of Photoshop, InDesign, MapInfo and CorelDraw or Illustrator.
  • Proficiency in Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or D3.js Certifications a plus
  • Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
  • Must have strong customer service and personal interaction skills.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, listening well to client’s instructions and following through on all requests.
  • Effectively plans, prioritizes, and organizes work to complete assignments and exceed deadline requirements.
  • Seeks to improve own competence and looks for ways to improve knowledge base.

The Compensation range for this role is 22.88 to 28.58 USD per hour and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s location, skills, experience and qualifications.
