Overview:
The Endpoint Technician supports the lifecycle of computer hardware and related endpoint devices within an organization. This includes tasks such as deploying, maintaining, upgrading, and retiring hardware assets to ensure efficient operation and alignment with organizational needs. The role focuses on hands-on technical work, collaborating with IT teams to assist end-users and maintain accurate records of hardware inventory.
Essential Functions
- 90%
- Assists in the deployment and configuration of computer hardware, peripherals, laptops, tablets and mobile devices for new and existing users.
- Provides onsite and jobsite support, including workstation and desk setups, and addressing local hardware needs.
- Performs routine maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on endpoint devices to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoots hardware and software issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensures consistent and thorough deployment of endpoints, following standard procedures to avoid rework.
- Assists in maintaining inventory of IT hardware, tracking assets throughout their lifecycle.
- Collaborates with IT staff to ensure hardware aligns with organizational standards and policies.
- Assists with the retirement and disposal of outdated hardware, ensuring secure handling of sensitive data.
- Assists in maintaining documentation related to hardware provisioning, troubleshooting procedures, and asset management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months to 1 year of previous experience in an IT support or similar technical role required.

- Basic technical skills related to hardware provisioning and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of IT support processes and endpoint lifecycle management.
- Basic experience with client desktop hardware, software, and administrative tools/services such as:
- Microsoft and Dell family of hardware.
- Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating systems.
- Microsoft 365 (M365/O365) family of products (Office, Exchange Online, SharePoint, etc.).
- Apple iOS and iPhone/iPad hardware.
- Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Management.
Work Environment
- Office environment with some travel required to assist jobsites end-users.
- Exposure to dust, heat and cold when traveling to jobsites.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
- Must be able work in confined spaces.
