Job Description

The Lead Business Analyst will play a critical role in driving the functional, business and overall product requirements for MfC, across multiple workstreams within the product portfolio. Working closely with the Product Owner and Programme Manager, the Lead Business Analyst will shape and define detailed requirements, and help convert high-level features into detailed functional specifications. This role requires a deep understanding of business processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with the Product Owner, Programme Manager, and other stakeholders in a global organization, to understand business objectives, product roadmap and key features desired.
  • Define Requirements: Shape and define detailed business requirements, ensuring they align with the overall project goals and objectives.
  • Develop Functional Specifications: Convert business requirements into detailed specifications that can be used by the development team.
  • Bridge Product Requirements to Engineering Teams: Act as a liaison between product management and engineering teams to ensure that product requirements are clearly understood and effectively implemented.
  • Document Detailed Workflows and Business Process Flows: Create comprehensive documentation of workflows and business process flows to ensure clarity and alignment across all teams.
  • Facilitate Workshops: Conduct workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate solutions, and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Analyze Business Processes: Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement. Propose solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform Gap Analysis: Identify gaps between current state and desired states and develop strategies to bridge those gaps. Devise solutions that strike the right balance between user experience, functionality, and capability.
  • Support Development Team: Work closely with the development team and technical leads to ensure that requirements are understood and implemented correctly. Provide clarification and guidance as needed.
  • Ensure Quality: Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure that the delivered solutions meet the defined requirements and business needs.
  • Monitor Progress: Track the progress of requirements throughout the project lifecycle and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any issues or concerns.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in Business Analysis: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on managing requirements for large-scale products and complex business environments.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex business problems and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong Documentation Skills: Ability to create extensive product documentation, using various documentation and diagramming tools and platforms, for both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, across product management, technology leadership, solution architecture, and user experience.
  • Technical Understanding: Good understanding of cloud platforms and cloud products, including common requirements for front-end dev, back-end dev, APIs, microservices, workflows, data integration, and security.
  • Expertise in Data Requirements: In-depth knowledge of data requirements, data driven platforms, and data integration techniques.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and the ability to create precise and comprehensive documentation.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues and challenges.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with global, multi-disciplinary teams across Product, UX, and Technology.
  • Certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe), Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of the creative and advertising industry.
  • Strong understanding of product management, and product requirements management.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and techniques as well as best practices.
